OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM
Children will learn more about primary colors and how to mix them to make the secondary colors. They will learn letters and numbers through hands on activities in the interest centers listed above. They will learn more about shapes, expanding to more complex ones. Creative art will stimulate their imagination and they will be singing, dancing, and exercising to music and performing. They'll be involved in storytelling and dramatic play. The seasons and holidays will be discussed, as well as weather, dinosaurs and other topics appealing to small children. Of course, they will be spending a lot of time outdoors, to enhance gross motor skills, as well as release that energy! Simple cooking activities will be introduced, along with the skills of sorting, matching, classification, measuring and following directions. These are just a few of the special activities your child will be participating in while in this room.
